Audience: Women 16-40
16 year old might be body conscious when seeing beautiful older women, E.G. Celebrities. This program could show them the risks of surgery and persuade them not to do this. 40 year old women might feel like they are getting older and want to have surgery to make them feel and look younger.

we came up this title after thinking about other titles, some of the titles include;

We decided on Is Beauty Worth Pain? as a rhetorical question which links in with the subject of the documentary. This title will target our audience because it links in with beauty and our audience will see this and wonder what it's about.

Channel: BBC3
We choose this channel because it shows a lot of documentaries about similar things. For example; Snog, Marry, Avoid. At the moment they have a series of documentaries about different teenagers with extraordinary lives. We also choose BBC3 because the documentaries are viewed from an unbiased point of view.

Time: 9.00
After 9pm so younger people don't watch this documentary as it could be inappropriate for young children. Also this is a popular time for young adults and adults to watch T.V. We would also choose a week day night for this program to do be shown as most people wouldn't be doing much on these nights.

Ideas for our Documentary

First Idea

Drugs, smoking, drinking -> teenage behaviour

• Underage drinking - pubs - Interview bar staff about underage drinkers, and teenagers who drink.
• Drugs - Interview teenagers who have done drugs and give opinion about this.
• Smoking - Interview teenagers about this.
• Interview a range of people of different ages to give their opinion of drinking/drugs/smoking, and how it might be different from when they were young.

Smoking: why? How do they get hold of them? How do you afford them? Enjoy it? Influenced by friends/family members?
Drugs: why? How do you get hold of it? How do you know its safe? Why put yourself at risk? Pressured into it by other people? Pressure other people? Enjoy it? Any side effects or worries afterwards or during?
Drinking: Why? How do you get it? Why do it? Enjoy it? Any worries while doing it? Thought about the risks?

This was one of our ideas, we thought about other things too on our mind maps in case we could think of anything better that would maybe stand out more than the 'Teenage Behaviour' because we thought this might be quite a popular topic for the teenagers because they can get hold of all of the interviewees easily.
